Briq Studio (“we”, “us”) makes CRYOS
(the “Game”). This policy explains what information the Game handles, why, and your
choices. We built the Game to collect as little as possible. We do not ask for
your email, phone number, real name, precise location, contacts, photos, or any account login.
1. Information the Game handles
Leaderboard nickname — a short display name (up to 16 characters) that
you choose for the global leaderboard. You are not required to use your real name,
and we ask you not to. If you leave it blank we use “Frost”.
Country code — your country (a two-letter code such as “SA” or
“PK”) derived from your SIM / mobile network so the leaderboard can show a flag.
This is country-level only — we do not collect GPS or street-level location.
Best distance score — your top run distance, submitted to the leaderboard.
Anonymous player ID — Unity Gaming Services signs you in anonymously to
hold your leaderboard entry. It is a random ID, not linked to any personal account.
Game progress (on your device) — crystals, unlocked items, settings and
parental-control values are saved in an encrypted file on your device only. We cannot read it
and it is not uploaded to us.
2. How the Game uses it
To show the global “best distance” leaderboard (nickname + country + score).
To save and restore your game progress on your device.
To send optional local reminders (notifications) and gameplay vibration (haptics).
3. Device permissions
Internet / network state — to reach the online leaderboard (and to show ads, see below).
Notifications — to send optional reminders. You can turn these off at any time in your device settings.
Vibration — for gameplay haptic feedback. Can be turned off in the Game’s settings.
4. Services we share data with
We use a small number of trusted providers. Your leaderboard nickname, country code and score
are processed by them so the feature can work:
Unity Gaming Services (Unity Technologies) — anonymous sign-in and the
leaderboard. See Unity’s privacy policy:
unity.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Google AdMob (if advertising is enabled in your version) — to show ads.
For players we treat as children, ads are configured as non-personalized and not
based on behavioural profiling. See
Google’s ad policies.
Public leaderboard notice: the nickname and country you submit are visible to
other players on the leaderboard. Please do not put personal information in your nickname.
5. Children’s privacy
The Game is suitable for, and may be used by, children (including ages 10–12). We take this
seriously:
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Sign-in is anonymous and the
nickname is a self-chosen, non-required display name.
We do not require an email, real name, or account.
Where advertising is shown, it is treated as directed to children: non-personalized, with no
behavioural targeting, in line with Google Play Families and COPPA requirements.
If you believe a child has provided personal information (for example, a real name typed into
the nickname), contact us and we will delete the corresponding leaderboard entry.
6. Data retention and deletion
On-device save: removed when you uninstall the Game or clear its data.
Leaderboard entry: kept while the leaderboard is active. To have your entry
deleted, email us (see Contact) — describe your nickname and country and we will remove it.
7. Security
Your on-device save file is encrypted. Leaderboard data is transmitted over secure connections
to Unity Gaming Services. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we use reasonable
safeguards.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access or delete
your data. Because we only hold a leaderboard nickname, country code and score, contact us and we
will action your request.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The “Effective date” above shows the latest version, and
significant changes will be reflected here.
